Finding the possibilities

I was excited to read a post by Chris Hutchinson of Trebuchet Group yesterday entitled Overcoming the hurdles to people seeing possibilities.  Chris explored what he sees as the stage set behind what identifies powerful possibilities, namely, matching:

Is your coaching program on track?

I’ve been doing a lot of research recently into the concept of Coaching Supervision, and thought it would be useful to share with you what I’ve learned.  This is a concept that’s of great value to any company which is looking to put together a program which includes coaching services, either internal or external.

The fundamental idea is that Coaching Supervision is the way that you maintain the connection between what’s going on with Coach-Client engagements, and the larger goals of your program.

Show me the value!

Inside a company, all investments should be justified and evaluated based on the value they return.  Coaching, education, facilitation, and other “soft” investments are no different.

The problem is that many times it’s difficult to translate these into hard dollar amounts.  But think about it this way:  There’s many decisions you make which don’t immediately turn into dollars of revenue or profit.
